When the assistant says something it also shows which page or document it came from. Your customer can click through and read the source; you can trace a wrong answer back to its origin in one look.
An answer without a source cannot be checked. The customer cannot tell whether it is right, and you cannot tell what to fix when it is wrong. The source line solves both at once: trust becomes visible and the thing to correct has an address.
Your knowledge base is built from crawled pages and the documents you upload. While producing an answer the assistant keeps track of which passages it used and lists them underneath. A passage from a web page becomes a link; one from a file shows the file name and section.
The source line takes you straight to the content at fault. Update the page and re-crawl it, or remove that passage from the knowledge base — you never have to touch the assistant itself.
Give your URL and your assistant starts answering from your knowledge base.
